This petition will be sent to:

  2. Nicola Sturgeon, First Minister of Scotland
  3. Mark Drakeford, First Minister of Wales
  4. UK Parliament, House of Commons

Whether you’re the first to sign the petition, or the millionth person, every signature counts towards finally legalising Cannabis in the UK!

It is your God given right, especially as an adult to consume Cannabis should you wish and over 1.4 million Brits do so everyday! Whatever your religious beliefs and however we all ended up here on planet earth, so did the Cannabis plant! Endocannabinoids and their receptors are even found throughout the human body in our brains, organs, connective tissues, glands, and immune cells. Cannabis is far safer than tobacco and alcohol, hasn’t killed anyone, has many health benefits and has been used by humans for over 4000 years, yet was made illegal in the UK way back in 1925. Tobacco kills over 7 million people per year and alcohol causes 3.3 millions deaths per year, yet both are legal to produce, sell and consume.

Be it via the use of the flower, oils, creams or balms, Cannabis has been proven to not only be something that can be enjoyed socially like a glass of good wine, but also help with controlling, managing and reducing crippling pain, tumours, epileptic seizures, anxiety, mental health disorders, serious inflammation and having many other life changing health benefits.

Now is the time to finally legalise the production, sale and adult use of Cannabis in the United Kingdom! With many other countries and regions including the United States of America, Canada, Netherlands, Croatia, Uruguay, Bermuda, South Africa, Jamaica, Belgium, Columbia, Spain, Belize, Portugal, Thailand, Italy, The Czech Republic, Argentina, Malta, Australia, Chili, Ecuador, Israel, Luxembourg, Paraguay and Saint Lucia having all decriminalised the use and in many cases also production and sale of this wonderful God given plant, isn’t it now time for the UK to follow suit and also change its laws surrounding Cannabis?

Like millions of other people around the world and across the UK, we believe that every adult member of the British public should be able to consume Cannabis legally and without the worry of breaking outdated, ridiculous laws that are no longer fit for purpose and need changing. Most police forces across the UK over the past few years have been taking a more and more lenient approach to Cannabis, with many agreeing that it is both a total waste of their time and resources trying to police it. Surely their time and resources would be better spent on removing vermin like cold blooded murderers, sex offenders and paedophiles from our society? It is estimated that every year in the UK 20% of murders go unsolved, approximately 85,000 women and 12,000 men are sexually assaulted and more paedophiles are caught by vigilante hunter groups than our very own police force! Yet our government still wants our police force to waste their time and money on policing Cannabis, than using their resources to better protect us all where it really matters.

We also believe that every adult member of the British public should be allowed to grow a small number of Cannabis plants at home for their own personal use. They should also be able to safely purchase good quality, clean, unadulterated Cannabis products legally for both medical and recreational use.

With both hemp and CBD products now legal to produce, sell, purchase and consume within the UK, now is the time to adopt the same attitude towards THC products and the growing of Cannabis for personal use.

Whether the UK government like it or not, the Cannabis industry in the UK has already starting to adopt a similar approach to its overseas example setters such as America, Canada, Spain and the Netherlands. UK Cannabis users have come to expect the same quality of products available abroad, prompting a huge surge of both underground cafes and registered Cannabis clubs opening in many of our towns and cities. These cafes and clubs offer a safe environment for adults to both purchase and consume their Cannabis whilst socialising with others users, just as others decide to do over a Friday night pint in their local. Hundreds of Cannabis to your door delivery and postal services now also openly operate in the UK, offering a safer way of purchasing Cannabis than meeting a stranger in a dark alleyway. Just like any other business, customers can often read a dispensaries reviews to check that the Cannabis they are purchasing is of good quality. This alone helps ensure that a large amount of the Cannabis now available in the UK is of a far better quality than its been in previous years.

By completely legalising Cannabis, an industry that currently generates more than 2.5 billion pounds every year in the UK, the government can finally take its control from criminal gangs, many of which groom children into becoming dealers, illegal immigrants into running grow houses and violent feuds breaking out over postcode territory wars that often end in yet another young teenagers death! Both knife and gun crime in the UK has been a serious problem for many years now. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out that legalising Cannabis will help to dramatically reduce this.

Legalising Cannabis could also generate around a billion pounds in tax every year, bringing a new, taxable source of income to the UK economy. The opening of legitimate cafes, clubs and dispensaries would also bring with it new job opportunities for the tens of thousands of people who are currently unemployed and struggling to pay their bills. Being a country that is currently in financial turmoil, a legal and regulated Cannabis industry is just whats needed to help dig the UK out of the ever sinking hole that it is currently in.

With the looming fact that the UK could also soon be facing countrywide blank outs as a result of the energy supply issues surrounding the war between Russia and Ukraine, taxes generated from legalising Cannabis could be used to erect more wind turbines across the country to help tackle this issue. Schools may even have to start closing one day a week, because their budgets aren’t big enough to cover the expense of the rising costs of gas and electricity. This simply cannot be allowed to happen! Every child has the right to be educated five days a week and the taxes raised from legalising Cannabis could help cover those expenses also.

Creating a regulated market like our overseas friends in America and Canada would finally ensure that the quality of Cannabis products available in the UK are both safe to consume and of a consistently high standard. With its use further increasing and consumers not going anywhere, please join us in our mission to get Cannabis legalised in the UK for both recreational and medicinal use. Sign the petition, share it with your friends, family and colleagues and together lets make the UK government finally announce the date for UK wide legalisation!

Letter

10 Downing Street, London, SW1A 2AA

Dear Sirs,

On behalf of the British public and the supporters of our petition, we, “Cannabis Forums” present to you the wishes of over one million consumers across the United Kingdom to finally legalise the recreational and medicinal production, sale and use of THC containing Cannabis flower and products.

We along with the supporters of this petition all strongly believe that it is every adults God given right to consume Cannabis should they wish to. Consumers should also be free to grow a small numbers of Cannabis plants at home for their own personal use, purchase and consume clean, high quality Cannabis in a safe cafe or dispensary style environment or online via a mail order delivery service.

As outlined in more detail on our petition website leglise.org.uk, legalising Cannabis in the UK will also help with:

Allowing adults to grow a small number of plants for their own personal use without the fear of being arrested for doing so.

Creating a legal and regulated market for large scale growers and product producers to adhere to.

Make it safer for consumers to purchase Cannabis products via registered cafes, clubs and online dispensaries.

Remove the current sale and distribution of Cannabis by organised crime gangs that often exploit children within their criminal operations.

Reduce knife and gun crime that often spawns from the territorial wars surrounding the sale of Cannabis on the streets.

Produce over one billion pounds in taxes every year that could help re-stabilise our economy in  these times of financial crises.

Create new businesses and job opportunities for tens of thousands of unemployed people across the UK that are currently finding it hard to make ends meet.

Yours Sincerely,
The British Public

Rishi Sunak Takes a Stand: Disposable Vape Pens Banned in the UK! UK Cannabis News

In a recent move to address environmental concerns and promote public health, Chancellor Rishi Sunak has taken a bold step by banning disposable vape pens in the United Kingdom. This decision marks a significant milestone in the country’s efforts to reduce waste and protect its citizens from the potential risks associated with vaping. Let’s delve into the details of this ban and its implications.

The environmental impact of disposable vape pens

Disposable vape pens have gained popularity in recent years due to their convenience and ease of use. However, their rise has come at a cost to the environment. These single-use devices contribute to the mounting problem of plastic waste, as they often end up in landfills or as litter in our oceans and natural habitats. By banning disposable vape pens, the UK aims to curb this environmental damage and promote sustainable alternatives.

Health concerns & vaping

Health Concerns and Vaping:
While vaping has been touted as a safer alternative to traditional smoking, concerns have emerged regarding its long-term health effects. The ban on disposable vape pens is a proactive measure to protect the public from potential risks associated with vaping. By limiting access to these devices, the UK government aims to encourage individuals to reconsider their vaping habits and explore healthier alternatives.

Promoting sustainable alternatives

The ban on disposable vape pens is not intended to discourage vaping altogether but rather to encourage the use of more sustainable options. Rechargeable and refillable vape devices offer a greener alternative, reducing the amount of waste generated. By promoting these alternatives, the UK government hopes to create a shift towards more environmentally friendly vaping practices.

Industry response & regulation

The ban on disposable vape pens has sparked mixed reactions within the vaping industry. While some manufacturers have already started transitioning towards more sustainable options, others have expressed concerns about the potential impact on their businesses. However, it is important to note that this ban aligns with the UK’s commitment to reducing plastic waste and protecting public health.

Public awareness & education

In addition to the ban, the UK government plans to launch public awareness campaigns to educate individuals about the environmental and health impacts of disposable vape pens. By providing accurate information and promoting responsible vaping practices, they aim to empower citizens to make informed choices and contribute to a cleaner, healthier future.

Our conclusion…

Rishi Sunak’s decision to ban disposable vape pens in the UK reflects the government’s commitment to environmental sustainability and public health. By taking this step, the country aims to reduce plastic waste, mitigate potential health risks, and promote the adoption of more sustainable vaping alternatives. As the ban takes effect, it is crucial for individuals to stay informed, explore greener options, and contribute to a cleaner and healthier future for all.

Remember, it’s important to stay updated on the latest regulations and guidelines regarding vaping in your region.

We live in a backwards little shit hole of a country, on a dying planet, ruled over by an uncaring and self serving class of inbred elites – let’s at least make it tolerable while we’re stuck here with a lovely joint.

If we want to save the world and make it a better existence for future humans, we NEED to look at marijuana and other psychoactive substances such as LSD or psilocybin in a more open-minded and curious way. It is for the best!

The UK is falling behind, in every aspect…. It’s an utter mess. Legalising, would bring in so much money via tax. We are being led by old men, who are stuck in the past.

Spain, Germany, America – just a few who have recently changed their stance. As more countries legalise / decriminalise, the more crime will increase in the UK. We need to be ahead of the curve.

Please share this petition and do your research.

I’ve been a medical cannabis patient for 5 years and I’m lucky because I can afford it. We need to legalise and regulate cannabis and treat it as a health issue and not a criminal issue. The endocannabinoid system need to be taught in schools ASAP.
